The Grand Tour is over

This text is a Blast from the near Past, 1 April 2019, actually: David Cameron told his England not to worry during EU’s economic crisis. He had rich friends who would help England if the financial crisis in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Ireland had to be paid for by England. Documents will say “UK”, but I distinctly heard him say England. Didn’t I? He said that England would never get into trouble because he had rich friends who could pay for England’s Woes. David’s friends did not like what he said and told him to get rid of the EU. Liberalism has its own ways. Born out of industrialism it will die out with industry as we know it.

ID-myths

Some use mythological names as their personal ID-makeup.

Handygun

A smaller nuclear warhead will allow local atomic wars. This is a parallell to precision bombing. It is meant to be a diplomatic strike. Hand guns and assault rifles are already finely distributed weapons of precision killing.

Voice of Facebook

Trump is the Voice of America, propaganda directed at US citizens. The Russians have found out. As in the cold wars they erected noise signal towers to block Voice of America from the population in the USSR, they now employ Facebook to direct straightforward messages at the US population. There is no noise-filter.

Roundheads, Blockheads and Skinheads

The historical precedence for post-Brexit is not the Colonial Empire but the Civil War. Nostalgic yearning for a Commonwealth era with jobs secured by an upper class in manufacturing, trade and estate farming is a yearning for the days of King and Parliament. There may not be time for restructuring. Unrest and worse may come to England, not the UK.

Pod Save America in Oslo

Pod Save America is a fine podcast giving us a qualified and personalized look at American Politics. Great companion for dishwashing and other chores. They are anti-Republicans and anti-Trump so why are they hired in to entertain the Norwegian rightwing kernel? NHO is the driving force behind our “Republican” party, Høyre. Like the US Republican party, they transfer unreasonable amounts of money to the rich. They also argue for more state funds to established companies. Keep listening, keep writing, eat Fjordland.

Britain Adrift in Time

Bilde
My Surprise Event of the Year 2017 was finding my copy, showing the cover of Time Magazine 1974. Britain is at it and has always been at it, securing control of their own assets. Joy to the Brits, Joy to the World! Happy New Year to all those who need a Better Life! UK membership in short and in full at The UK in a Changing Europe

Borderline Circles

Thé Event was the US tax reform. President Trump has no clue how to pass legislation. It is The Republican Party, The GOP, The Grand Old Party that has the old skill of taxing the people. The Rich will always want their money back. What is the point in accepting funds from the rich when they want it back with interest? What a victim the Republican GOP is. This is Protection Money.

Mother's Shawl

I knew my mother for 38 years. When I was very little, I would see her face, and the world was all right. She had a silken shawl that I liked to fondle. There was a face printed on that soft and cool cloth. “That is the Queen of England”, mother told me. The Coronation shawl had prints of cathedrals and palaces and was good entertainment when I asked what all the buildings and statues were. Norway had not had a queen since Queen Maud died before the war. After the war, Norway would not get a queen until 1991. Queen Elizabeth the second of England was the only queen of my realm until then. That Coronation shawl was how I would look to England. It was not the tales of war or racing cars, football stars or spies. It was the two faces, my mother, and the queen, floating next to each other, sometimes blending into the same. After mother had died and I looked into her history someone said that “Your mother was born in England”. That was sensational since mother was born in Reykjavik, Ic...

Home is England

The Guardian is English, that much we know. They just never adapted to be UKanians. Their UK webhome has England sorted under UK. Then follow Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as subsets. The Guardian advised Scotland against independence. They like to keep the tidy order of things. The Old Orderly Outline .

High Infinity

Mac OS has been impressively reliable on my 1998 iMac Bondi Blue, 2006 MacBook Pro 17” and my iMac 2011. Today is the third day after the High Sierra update. Steve Jobs’s Apple headquarter was on Infinity Loop Drive. Their new HQ is a full circle, an infinite loop of its own, and now my iMac is on an infinite loop as well. Updating to Mac OS High Sierra looped it. The update failure left no System OS on the Macintosh HD. I have good software backups (CCC at www.bombich.com). With no Sierra downgrade available, Apple holds the backup for the hardware: A new iMac. Apple put me through hoops and infinity loops to update to High Sierra. Kernel Panic at the Loop. The Kernel Panic Loop. The Loop Panic. There will be a Kernel Panic at the Hyperloop for you too, Elon Musk of Tesla! If you don’t use Carbon Copy Cloner go to www.bombich.com. They will be discreet.

The United States of Britain

Royalty does not get any better than QE2. Prince Charles is not favoured as there is an expectation that the princes and wives will fulfill the promise of what Diana could have been. It is time for a president.

Rexit

A second vote to avoid Brexit and prince Charles for president! Royalism does not get any better than QE2. Now's the time to go for it: The United States of Britain!

New Britain

Royals have given up but there is always this: Boris Johnson For President of the USB! That will keep him busy. "Boris for President!" Sounds right.

All About England

Northern Ireland is worth something as long as they support Theresa May. Only the part of Northern Ireland that is friendly to England, not the full UK, counts as partner to the UK government of Theresa May. A narrow mind indeed. Independence movements in Northern Ireland and Scotland have not been asked to take part in UK political planning. Conservatives and Labour have disabled Scotland as an independent nation. What they should beware is the effect on SNP, their followers and sympathizers. BBC's studio hardly mentioned Northern Ireland and Scotland. Wales was not mentioned. It was all about England and what the EU and the USA were thinking about Westminster. The UK was a non-entity. Nicola Sturgeon for prime minister of the UK.

Another May

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has followed up the election with another mistake. She has called in the support of the North Ireland Unionist Party to stay on as prime minister. If she would have been a bright leading star she should have united with the SNP. Scottish independence would have been traded for a ministerial post (in government, not a parish). Nicola Sturgeon could easily have been prime minister or foreign minister. She would outshine the darkening stars already in office.

Brexit Deal and Future

Dark capital wanted Brexit to get away from EU obligations to restore the economy in Greece, Portugal and other risk countries. This capital can be used to buy a soft and quick Brexit. No Problem. UK has to develop itself and shapeshift into, not as a former commonwealth, but a federal republic like the USA and Germany. I am sure Ireland would be crucial to this situation. The Federal Union of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Other units could be Northumberland, Midlands and Cornwall for the balance.

The Lost Lot

The UK Prime Minister had a 2% advantage from the Brexit vote to enter into EU negotiations. That was sufficient. That was Politics. That was not enough for the elite who were used to getting it all, from a slow burning 6-7 % return on investment to several hundred percentage gains, also called The Lot. Next week's election may yet be interesting. Will the Remainers have their revenge for Brexit? If the Prime Minister loses 3% or more compared to the Brexit vote, then face is lost, if not already. Theresa May is playing for The Mythical Lot.

Brexit of Contract

Marital divorce is a serious matter. Marriage is a contract between two sovereign parts. Religious view on marriage is for religious sentiments and contracts. Marriage is a public contract. A breach of this contract will carry compensations. A fifty-fifty split of assets like house, car, cabin, boat and more is not a precise economy. Compensation needs to come into the picture. The traditional example is that a man leaves a wife and two children. There will be the fifty-fifty split of assets, but the compensation has to be for costs of adapting to a new situation for the family. The mother needs compensation for extra workload, children need compensation for loss of companion and learning. There will be many details to consider, but we are already looking at a 3/4 split in favour of the remainers. Anyone breaking a contract should not be allowed to take anything away from a family. Short term marriage contracts could be practical. One view is to be married for twenty-five ye...

Better Times Ahead

Theresa May's snap election should have been about whether voters would be for or against a republic, a United States of Britain. (USB) Obviously there would have been another vote for a new name, but that would be for the popular press. Monarchy has served its time. Queen Elisabeth's reign will be the Glory of the Monarchy and the devolution of the Empire. Her reign will be revered, and all the palaces will be used for tourism, as they very nearly are already. Ahead lies only a grim political future based on a minor elite's ability to fund and refund itself. There is a need for a new operating system. Apple and Microsoft have done it. I can only suggest a name list of interested nations, or territories as some call them. States in a federal state would be England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Shetland, Faeroes and, dare I say it, Iceland and Greenland. That would have been a conquest too far, but we need open minds on this system. Places that would have to go...
